Known for his androgynous stick figures constructed out of simple shapes, Stik's large-scale works convey complex body language and emotions using a limited amount of detail. The subtle details are then contrasted with brightly colored backgrounds that emphasize the power of human emotions and expressions. Like fellow rogue street artist Banksy, Stik keeps his past a tightly guarded secret and shares very little about himself, except that he was homeless prior to becoming a recognized artist. This period of time spent on the streets heavily influences STIK art as he eloquently gives form to the idea of human vulnerability in an unadorned manner.
The 12 editions were originally available at Stik's Bristol show at the King Of Paint shop/gallery.
