The painting is of a local girl from Oaxaca Mexico that Tymon photographed there during a local festival where people were dressed up in traditional clothing. Oaxacan region is known for its roots in the Zapotec tribe and their strong development of culinary and cultural heritage. Tymon explored that regions mezcal production which is an ancient process that dates back to times before the conquistadores arrived in Latin America. The two stories have merged into one piece by incorporating the agave plant into the painting on her face and in the earring.
