WOLF KAHN (1927- ) Celebrated abstract painter and supreme colorist Wolf Kahn trained with Hans Hofmann during the late forties and is regarded is one of America’s most prominent and influential landscape painters. An intense involvement of light and color dominate his work as he redefines the landscapes he paints using simple and quiet aspects of nature such as a grove of trees, an old barn, a winding river, or a summer sunset.
