Contemporary Art International Zurich – Art Fair Brings the Artists from Around the World for Its 17th Edition

OK, everybody knows about Basel Art Fair, one of the biggest fairs in the world. We have covered the Basel Art Fair 2015, and we saw some remarkable artworks and sales. However, Switzerland can be proud of another art fair taking place in the country’s biggest city – Contemporary Art International Zurich. The Contemporary Art Fair Zurich / Art International Zurich is one of the most important and well-established art market places of Switzerland. Since 1999, the art fair has established itself with quality and internationality as a public trade and consumer show in Zurich. Last year, more than 19 000 people visited the fair, and this year, the number will probably be even higher. This is the 17th edition of the art fair, and it will bring together more than twenty galleries from around the world. In addition, more than thirty international art positions, estates and collections will present their artists and artworks.

Contemporary Art International Zurich – Highlights

The exhibitors at the Contemporary Art International Zurich 2015 will present artworks from the fields of painting, graphics, sculpture and photography. Although the majority of participating galleries are coming from Switzerland, there will be also galleries from other European countries and from other continents as well. Some of the highlights are: BB Contemporary, Zurich; Contemporary Fine Arts, Backnang; IberArt Gallery, Berlin; Orleansky Gallery, Amsterdam; Quantum Contemporary Art, London; San Giorgio International Art Gallery, Lugano; Smart Ship Gallery, Tokyo and many others.

International Artist Positions

Many artists will present their works within the International Artist Positions Section. Some of them are: Sylvie Renggli from Luzern, Switzerland; Simone Monney from Gland, Switzerland; Hassan J. Richter from Werder, Germany; Isabella Sedeka, Belrin, Germany; Marie-Noëlle Ronayette, Forcalquier, France;  Catherine Ludeaul, Santeny, France, and many others.

The 17th Art International Zurich opens in the Kongresshaus (Congress Hall) Zurich, from October 16 until October 18, 2015. The address of the main entry is Claridenstrasse 5 (Entry K), CH-8002 Zurich, Switzerland. The day ticket costs CHF 18.00, while the entrance is free for the children under the age of 16. Advanced sales of the tickets can be obtained via Ticketcorner on 0900 800 800 (CHF 1.19/min., fixed networks), online: ticketcorner.com or from Die Schweizerische Post, Manor, SBB, Coop City and from all other Ticketcorner sales outlets. It is important to mention that the organizer of the Fair since 1999 is the art trading company BB International Fine Arts, specialized in the organization of exhibitions and art fairs.
