Kunst Späti – Berlin Alternative Affordable Art Market
Tête, based in the former TÄT art space on Schönhauser Allee, Berlin, present over the course of three weeks a Christmas alternative affordable art market. With the festive season nearly upon us here is an opportunity to discover a whole range of artworks from 30 artists participating, including drawings, collages, photographs, artists’ books alongside other creations. The affordable Kunst Späti art market gives you the chance to buy directly from the artists at reasonable prices. They invite you to come along and enjoy some good conversation, perhaps listen to some music while browsing the selection of affordable art then partake in tea and cake or for those that want to spice things up, savour a hot toddy or two!

The first of the three affordable art markets with plenty of time to find those Christmas gifts and what better than some original artworks direct from an artist. Perhaps the playful illustrations of Amy Alexander whose themes includes love, space, people and sometimes, as she claims, underpants, will raise a smile. Freelance photographer Luca Vecoli will offer some of his striking images for those that enjoy images with a gritty edge or maybe keep an eye out for the magazine sculptures of Benjamin Lee Martin if the unusual appeals. What is certain is that there will be a whole range of styles and tastes on offer at this first affordable art market.

A second chance to attend the affordable art market and explore a new range of artists’ work, still plenty of time to buy that loved one a unique piece of art or even treat yourself. Graphic designer Isabel Reitmeyer creates photographic collages, simple juxtapositions with dramatic results while illustrator Bárbara Fonseca will bring a bit of colour to the proceedings. Maybe the photographic work of Jan Michalko created on various travels will be the art to catch your eye. Once again, plenty of affordable art to browse and the chance to buy directly from the artist.

This is the last chance to explore the affordable art market and find a bargain direct from the hand of the artist. Once again a whole range of artists will be present offering a multitude of styles to browse over including the multi talented Fake Mistress who creates wonderful silk screened prints full of colourful people and animals but maybe something darker along the lines of the expressive creations of Kottie Paloma whose work explores the dark and ridiculous sides of life in a humorous way will be more appealing for those searching for some affordable art.
