Growing up to become one of the most exciting movements of our time, street art has infiltrated into the art fair world as well. Tristan Eaton and Saturno have joined forces to create a stunning mural in Culver City in Los Angeles. The spectacular America Needs Brains is a colossal statement on the current political situation in the United States. Executed with freehand spray paint, the mural features a meticulous, visual collage of pop imagery mixed with artists’ unique styles.
Best known for his outstanding figurative murals created on a large scale, INO is one of the most internationally recognized Greek street artists. The artist has created another stunning mural executed in his distinctive style with fragmented forms, photorealistic elements and grayscale color palette with touches of light blue. Titled Stay Away, it was painted on Hippocratio Hospital in Thessaloniki, supported by Hellenic Liver Patient Association.
Known for his monumental and technically outstanding art pieces, Nychos is in a constant quest for stories he wants to tell with his art. Continuing his tour in Australia, the artist has created yet another outstanding piece. Titled Anatomy of a Kangaroo, the mural was painted in Collingwood, Melbourne.
A prominent Australian street and fine artist, Fintan Magee creates socially and environmentally engaged works. The artist has participated in the Paradox festival in Tauranga, New Zealand, where a selection of internationally acclaimed artists has turned the city into an outdoor gallery. The artist has contributed with a mural titled The Wall Builder, executed in his recognizable style.
The acclaimed Italian artist Vesod has participated in Sober Walls, a mural painting project in Rotterdam organized by Sober Collective. Titled An Instant Before, the work is painted in his distinctive style characterized by high contrast figures full of staggered motion and bright geometric abstractions. Investigating the dimension of time through three-dimensional space, the artist "freezes" time into crystallized fractures.
Artists Sebas Velasco and Telmo Miel joined forces to create a stunning piece titled Hit the Lights in Rotterdam, also as part of Sober Walls project. The duo shares a fascination for realistic imagery and is currently making life-sized wall paintings using spray-paint all over the globe.
The Ukrainian street artist AEC Interesni Kazki is known for his striking surrealistic imagery drawn from science, religion, mythology, cosmology, myths and times past. The artist has created a stunning mural in Cancun in Mexico titled End of the Age of Walls. The piece was painted in an old neighborhood of Cancun and it reflects the artist’s view on education and culture as aspects that can break the walls and barriers between the people.
The acclaimed British artist Remi Rough has painted a new mural on the building of La Condition Publique in Roubaix, France, as part of the Street Generations show curated by Magda Danysz Gallery. The piece was executed in his signature style characterized by synthetic yet dynamic lines and neat geometric forms.
Known for achieving a high level of realism in their work, the British duo Snik has made hand cut stencils and great attention to detail their trademark. As part of this year’s HKwalls festival in Hong Kong, the duo has created an exceptional 8 layer hand cut stencil made with spraypaint in Wong Chuk Hang entitled Passing Me By.
Straddling conventional graffiti, typography and abstraction, Felipe Pantone fuses bold elements of graphic design with highly evolved geometric shapes to create an ultra-modern aesthetic. Working in Lisbon, the artist has created his largest mural to date. Adorning a 17 story building in the Portugal capital, the mural is titled Chromadynamica para Lisboa and it complements and reacts with the stark modernity of the cityscape with bold colors and geometrical patterns.
