In only six months, the 58th Venice Biennale framed by a concept of renowned American born curator Ralph Rugoff will take place around the city of bridges. The public is excited since the upcoming edition of the most prestigious art event is expected to bring socially and politically well-articulated concept.
The first, the second, the third and the fourth group of artists which will represent their countries were already announced, and finally here is a fifth group consisting of short descriptions of ten more pavilions which will provide a provisional impression of how the 2019 Biennale will look like.

The Indonesian Creative Economy Agency and Yayasam Design + Art Indonesia announced that a collaborative work by artists Handiwirman Saputraand, known for his installations of objects and found objects, and Syagini Ratna Wulan, best known for her minimal spatial interventions and objects, will be displayed in the Indonesian pavilion at the 2019 Venice Biennale. They will be curated by Asmudjo Jono Irianto and Yacobus Ari Respati, while Enin Supriyanto will act as artistic director.
According to the description revealed for the public under the work, the title Reason and Negotiation Never Come Just Once (Akal tak Sekali Datang, Runding tak Sekali Tiba), will consist of a smoking room, four hundred lockers and a functioning Ferris wheel that visitors can ride.

Following up is Mongolian pavilion in which an interdisciplinary group project by artist Erdenebayar Jantsankhorol titled TEMPORALITY will be shown. This immersive work is inspired by a centuries-old practice of complex Mongolian throat singing. Carsten Nicolai, aka Alva Noto, German artist and electronic-music maker was also invited to participate, so he will work with throat singers and present the results during the Biennale opening. The project is curated by Gantuya Badamgarav, and it tends to connect throat singing to nature and ways in which it was used to communicate with different forces.

The artist Anna K.E. was chosen by the organization Creative Georgia to represent Georgia at the Venice Biennale with a project titled REARMIRRORVIEW, Simulation is Simulation, is Simulation, is Simulation.... The project will be guided by Margot Norton, a curator at the New Museum in New York.
Namely, through her multimedia artistic practice spanning from video and sculpture, to performance, Anna K.E. explores mostly the matters of corporeality in regards to the history of modernism, feminism, and technologies.

The Foreign Ministry of Argentina selected the artist Mariana Telleria, best known for her socially charged installations, to represent the country in Venice. The curator of the national at pavilion will be Florencia Battiti, Professor and art critic trained at the University of Buenos Aires. The installation titled The name of a country will encompass seven sculptures through which the artist articulates her perception of reality.

The selected curatorial project titled Maleth / Haven / Port - Heterotopias of Evocation will represent Malta at the next Venice Bienalle in 2019. The curator Dr. Hesperia Iliadou Suppiej will present the works of artists Vince Briffa, Klitsa Antoniou, Trevor Borg and Perit Matthew Joseph Casha.
The project tends to explore the role of the island of Malta as the cultural center of the Mediterranean Sea from the historical and contemporary perspective. Namely, by posing polarities such as history/archaeology, myth/tradition, and vision/expectation, the exhibition will reveal the significance of a topos/locus of artistic conversation for the whole of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Ministry for Culture and Sport, supported by a decision of Lydia Koniordou, and the opinion of the advisory committee announced that Greece will be represented at the Biennale with a project curated by Katerina Tselou simply titled Suspensions.
The project will focus on devastating effects of historical revisionism, the sense of loss and how it determines collective/national desires and strategies, as well as the emergence of alternative narratives aimed to deconstruct the hegemonic ones. The three renowned contemporary Greek artists Zafos Xagoraris, Eva Stefani and Panos Charalambous will show their works in the interior and exterior of the Greek pavilion, but also beyond it.

The project Indios antropófagos (Indian cannibals) will be shown at the Peruvian national pavilion. The work of Christian Bendayán will be curated by Gustavo Buntinx and focused on a dialogue with the historical contexts and archival material which shaped the artists’ most recent production. Namely, the project will focus on a presence of a German entomologist Otto Michael who arrived the city of Iquitos in 1895 looking for butterflies, as well as architectural icons of the city of Iquitos such as the Cohen house with its German tiles; the Iron House, symbol of modernity and the colonization of the Amazon; and the pool of the Iquitos boardwalk, a curious rectangle wrapped in majolicas for toilets that frames the landscape of the impressive Amazon.

Uruguay will be represented by artist Yamandú Canosa with the exhibition titled The Empathic House at the 2019 Venice Biennale. This established figure is best known for combining different techniques, as well as for exploring the issues of cultural identity, memory, and experience of the affections.
This work will be actually presented in a form of a home of the good host, the house that the mestizo and alluvial Uruguayan society built. By underlining the importance of the home, the artist will question the history of mestizajes and migrations.

The last, but not least on our list is the artist Pablo Vargas Lugo who will be a representative of Mexico at 2019 Venice Bienalle. The project titled Actos de Dios (God’s Actions) will be curated by Magali Arriola and will be focused on the narratives rooted in the faith which form the political, judicial and governmental discourses. Vargas Lugo stands among the most important artists of his generation and his multimedia artistic approach is based largely on astronomy, cartography an archaeology.
