What Sold at Urvanity Art 2020?

February 28, 2020

Coming back for the fourth time to Madrid, Urvanity Art has brought together collectors and enthusiasts, offering a great opportunity to enjoy a carefully curated selection of New Contemporary Art. The only Spanish fair dedicated to the movement and a necessary appointment within the Madrid Art Week, the unique event seeks to disseminate contemporary art and collecting among the general public, and after only one day, we can say that they are doing it right.

Here's what sold (so far) at Urvanity Art 2020!

Garcinuño, Huntress of Art

A gallery based in Madrid, Huntress of Art brought works by artists Kike Garcinuño and Alexander Zuleta. The works by Kike Garcinuño, an eclectic painter who has made his current language a collection of infinite ways of looking and narrating, have already caught the eye of the collectors, as the gallery sold three of his most recent works - SimbiosisCoexistencia 2, and Coexistencia 3.

Juan Diaz-Faes

The result of an artistic residence promoted by the SOLO Collection within its lines of patronage for visual artists, Black Faes presented the artist Juan Diaz-Faes for the first time to the collector audience to great success. The color black is a protagonist in all his works, taking shape through geometry and creating a narrative full of stories. It seems that Diaz-Faes is an artist to watch, as over 10 of his pieces have already been sold.

Queen Andrea, McCaig Welles

Coming to Madrid for the first time, the New York-based McCaig-Welles Gallery has had great success with works by a prolific New York City graphic designer, muralist, fine artist, typographer and illustrator, Queen Andrea. Her style marked by a bold use of color, design and advanced typography truly echoed with the collectors since the gallery has already sold four of them - Play from 2020, and a large-scale canvas that went to Fundacion Maria Cristina Masaveu Peterson.
