Two weeks ago, we introduced you to our first edition of our new series of podcasts. Every Friday, Widewalls readers, and now listeners, will get the chance to hear interviews with some of the most exciting people from the world of art. Artists, curators, gallerists and art professionals in general will share with us stories about their first encounters with the art world, introducing us with their jobs and giving us the insight into art from their perspective. We opened the new Widewalls chapter with the fantastic interview done by our Editor Bojan, who talked to Olly Walker, founder of London-based OllyStudio. This time, the spotlight is on those who make art. I had the pleasure of talking to Artez, Serbia born street artist who is one of the rare artists from Balkans who made his hobby a full time profession. Seeing graffiti on walls of Belgrade, Serbia when he was growing up made him think he could do the same and now, with the degree from Faculty of Architecture and his background in painting, Artez travels the world and does what he loves the most. We talked about the Serbian street art scene (read more about it in our article Gold Along the Banks), his amazing projects, surprising friendships along the way and his dream collaborations.
Check out our conversation with Artez and stay tuned for more - new Widewalls podcast every Friday! You can listen to the talk below and check out Artez’s work! Enjoy!
