Elian, an Argentinean street artist, created this mural in school number 219, Obolon District, Kiev, Ukraine, as a part of Mural Social Club that was curated by Julia Ostrovska and Oleg Osnov. Unlike some of his most recent works, there is no transparency effect on primary colors, only a slight presence in gray. The mural’s origins are in the behavior of pure colors and overlapping not given by their natural transformation based on transparency. Without basic geometric element, the sense of geometry is acquired through the hardness of transverse lines. The wall is saturated with figures that respond to the central point, and the white background is almost nonexistent. Through this mural that was created in July 2016, Elian tried to establish the debate about the importance of empty spaces in a composition, interested to discover if the correct distribution of shapes and colors is enough to create a harmonious artwork.
