Tree of Life

In October 2016, talented Italian street and urban artist Gola Hundun visited Vrå, a railway town in Hjørring municipality in Denmark where he participated in Land-Shape Festival. For this occasion, the artist created an amazing new installation inspired by the Norse and prehistoric era, local mythology and history. Entitled Yggdrasil Cromlech, the piece presents artist's vision of the Tree of Life that will be completely finished in 30-50 years, once the trees will be grown and the climbing plants will completely transform the central structure. "The underlying idea that inspires this project is to create a sustainable sanctuary for Jutland’s wildlife with a permaculture approach. The installation’s goal is to increase resources for local fauna, especially during winter time but also in the summer season, providing food sources and opportunity for refuge".
