Sepe and Chazme paint a mural Trial of Joseph K. for the Memorie Urbane festival

Sepe and Chazme are Polish street artists who live and work in Warshaw. Michał Wręga aka SEPE is a graphic designer with a great interest in literature and traditional book illustration. Daniel Kalinski aka CHAZME is a Polish painter, illustrator, who graduated in Architecture and Urbanism. Together, they have been painting large scale murals, inspired by social activism, literature, culture and global politics.

The Trial of Joseph K. is the mural they painted for the Memorie Urbane festival in Fondi, Italy. Memorie Urbane is a festival that promotes the unity of contemporary art with cultural heritage and historic, natural and artistic heritage. Mural was inspired by The Trial, a book by great Franz Kafka. Apart from the literature reference, it was inspired by the contemporary state of modern man, and his engagement in global and local politics and social affairs.
