Happening for the second time only, alongside it’s “big sister” fair FIAC, OFFICIELLE Paris became a proper event of its own, establishing its position firmly among the most anticipated fairs this year. Welcoming over fifty galleries from thirteen countries specializing in contemporary and emerging art, it promises a fine showcase for the younger generations of artists and newest artistic trends, but also spotlight for those serving as figures to them, at the same time presenting itself as a rich playground for collectors and dealers. Together with FIAC, OFFICIELLE has organized the new edition of Hors les Murs, as well as Musées en Seine as a new cultural experience of Paris and performances program called Ouvertures/Openings. For more FIAC related events, make sure you read about it here.

The Program

The 2015 edition of Hors les Murs brings together many historic institutions of the French capital, including the Jardin des Tuileries (Domaine National du Louvre), a participating site for the tenth consecutive year, as well as the Jardin des Plantes, the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, the Place Vendôme, and a number of venues along the river Seine, under the name Musées en Seine. A new participant, the Maison de la Radio, will present a program of sound works, both new recordings and archival radio broadcasts. As for performances, the Ouvertures/Openings, in collaboration with the Musée de Louvre, will encompass programs like In Process, dedicated to young artists, and En Scène, featuring students of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. There will also be the Cinéphémère section, dedicated to artist films.
