Folks over at New York’s Jonathan LeVine Gallery are keeping the party going! The art space celebrated its tenth anniversary last month with a commemorative group exhibition featuring artworks created by artists who have exhibited at the gallery extensively since the day one, entitled The Color and the Fury: 10 Years of Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Opening today is another group exhibition of artists who have also helped shape the foundation of Jonathan LeVine Gallery during this past decade, with a very reminiscing title: Oh, The Places We Have Been: Rediscovering the Past.

Ten Years of Jonathan LeVine Gallery

The importance of Jonathan LeVine Gallery, especially when it comes to contemporary and street art, is grand enough to be mentioned over and over. Ever since their art space opened in 2005, they have been challenging and exploring the conventions of the canon, through exhibitions of over 300 artists. With Oh, The Places We Have Been: Rediscovering the Past group show, Jonathan LeVine Gallery aims to honor all the successful manifests of art and artists who have gone through its walls and to showcase some of the significant works from their archives – a retrospective of the past with an eye towards the future. So far this year, Jonathan LeVine Gallery has hosted five exhibitions, including Parra, The Lost Mitten Society Annual Winter Salon Show and a solo show of Japanese artist Haroshi.
