Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art was officially inaugurated in March of 2001. Run by Ana Cristina Guerra, the gallery predominantly focuses the conceptual work of 20 contemporary artists.
Besides participating in high-profile art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach, ARCO (Madrid), FIAC and Shanghai, in 2004, Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art launched a new campaign of four yearly exhibitions, organized by foreign guest curators. The gallery has conceived these exhibitions as platforms of exchange, discussion and expansion.
The first exhibition in this series, entitled Around the Corner, opened in September of 2004. London-based, Spanish-born curator, Carolina Grau, curated this first show with four guest artists
