George Condo

George Condo

Opening: Feb 11

Simon Lee Gallery

12 Berkeley St, London, UK

With this exhibition, George Condo takes up portraiture, a genre that has dominated his practice for over three decades, albeit through untraditional and unanticipated visual means. Combining stylistic elements from several different artists who cross multiple generations, George Condo’s portraits subvert traditional practice and only infrequently take as their subject real people; instead, the works often portray a fantastical assembly of characters derived specifically from the artist’s own imagination.

Here is Somewhere Else

Opening: Feb 14

Charlotte Fogh Gallery

Mejlgade 18B, Aarhus, DK

HuskMitNavn is exhibiting for the fourth time solo at Charlotte Fogh Gallery. At the exhibition, Here is somewhere else, HuskMitNavn visualizes a world, where we are able to be present in several places at once, while often unable to be present where we are. Through drawings and paintings the artist present glimpses of everyday life and focuses on the important moments that pass us, without us really detecting them. The absent-minded man who (again?) has misplaced his keys. The man who tries to do it all at once, while only dreams to relax.
